Summer Research Experience for Undergraduates

Molecular Biosciences at the University of Puerto Rico- Río Piedras

This program actively engages students in faculty-mentored research in the areas of molecular biosciences and bioinformatics in research labs located at the Rio Piedras Campus, the Medical Sciences Campus and the Institute of Neurobiology. Students are selected based on academic record, research performance, and potential for outstanding research in biomolecular sciences.

HOW TO APPLY:

Application materials:

•  One page statement:

o  stating your academic goals and research interests

o  specify the top three labs that you are interested in from the list of mentors below

o  why you think you are a good candidate for this program

•  Academic Transcript

•  Two letters of recommendation (send by professors directly to Dr. Colón, at least one from a science professor)
